- Snowboarding, skiing and mountaineering are the popular sports in Switzerland.

- Chocolate first came from Switzerland. Swiss chocolate makers Henri ‘Nestle’ and ‘Daniel Peter’ invented milk chocolate. It is famous for chocolates and the most chocolate producer country of the world. They just love chocolates and export it to other countries too.
- Nescafe, one of the famous energy drink and the first instant coffee of the world was first produced in Switzerland.
- Switzerland is also famous for watch. In 1868, Patek Philippe of Switzerland has invented wrist watch and now too, most of the world’s luxury watches are produced in this country. Some of them are Tissot, TAG Heuer, Rolex and Patek Philippe.
- The first nobel prize winner in 1901 was a Jean-Henri Dunant, a Swiss businessman and the founder of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
- The World Wide Web (WWW) was first invented in Switzerland in 1989 by Tim Berners.

WEIRD RULES OF SWITZERLAND:
Now let’s come to the weird part. There are some laws in this country that are seemed to be weird. Some of them are like-
- Giving ridiculous name to your child is not acceptable in Switzerland. You can’t ruin the life of your child with a ridiculous name.
- You can’t urinate standing up after 10pm, either you are male or female. It is weird. It is a rule by landlord of the rental houses as it is supposed to disturb your neighbours.
- You can’t flush the toilet after 10pm as determined by landlords. This applies when you stay in a rental house there.
- In Switzerland, You have to pay a tax for your dog. This is the rule. Obviously you will not like to pay for your dog no matter how much you love your pet.
- You can’t cut your grass on Sundays coz Sundays are meant to be peaceful. Your neighbours
- will obviously not like the loud noise.
TOURISTS ATTRACTIONS OF SWITZERLAND:
Now let's come to the most attractive part of Switzerland, the nature. There are numerous sites that attracts tourists from different places. They are so beautiful. Some of them are as follows:
- Matterhorn is a mountain of Switzerland which is the most beautiful place for the photographers. The mountain is look like a jagged tooth. It is 4,478 metres in height and is one of the tallest mountains of Alps.
- The Rhine Falls is the largest waterfall of Europe. It is amazing. It is a wall of white foam that thunders from afar as hundreds of cubic feet of water flow over it every single second. The rocks at its centre are quite impressive .
- Oeschinensee lake is one of the beautiful lakes of Switzerland. The mesmerizing lake has a reflection of surrounding mountains and also the blue sky.
- Alestsch Glacier is the largest Glacier of Switzerland covering a length of 23 kilometres.
- An area of Swiss Alps called Jungfraujoch is also a major attraction to the visitors.
- Staubbach Falls is the highest freefalling waterfall of Europe situated in Lauterbrunnen valley of Switzerland. This valley is an ancient glacial valley and also an amazing creation of nature. There are 72 waterfalls in the valley.
- Lake Lucerne is a four forested lake with a beautiful view of nature. It has an unusual shape and unique features. It has sharp bends and width that spans four valleys.
- Lac Léman is a beautiful lake of Switzerland and in the Alps, Lac Léman (also known as Lake Geneva) curves for 73 kilometres from Geneva, on the western border with France, all the way along to the resort town of Montreux. Towering above it are the Alps, creating a magnificent view.
- Eiger is a dangerous and adventurous mountain which has the record of taking the lives of many climbers over the years. It has the death wall but yeah, it's so beautiful.
- Lac souterrain St-Léonard is the largest lake of Europe Lac souterrain St leonard is in Switzerland, along the Rhone valley. On a boat ride you can explore its soothing cold water.
All of these things are just amazing but there is always more to explore. Some of the other beautiful sites of Switzerland are The Fairies’ Grotto, St. Maurice, Creux de Van, Les Grottes de Vallorbe, Pyramides d’Euseigne.
