Sweden is a beautiful Scandinavian nation with thousands of coastal islands and lakes, along with vast mesmerizing forests and mountains. It is a paradise for nature lovers. 1. The capital of Sweden is Stockholm which is a coastal city. Stockholm is built on 14 islands. It has more than 50 bridges, as well as the medieval old town, Gamla Stan, royal palaces, and ancient museums. The main official language of Sweden is Swedish.


2. Sweden has a lot of forests and a place of natural beauty. 2/3 of the total country’s land area is covered by forests with an area of  280,650 km2. Sweden has a large population of moose, freely roaming around the woods. over 90,000 lakes and over 3,000 kilometers of sea coastline.


3. If we talk about recycling of wastes, Sweden is a country to be appreciated. They are good at recycling wastes and they import wastes from other countries too. Only 1% of waste ends up in landfills with 50% being recycled or composted and 49% being incinerated for energy. 52% of the energy in Sweden is renewable. This makes Sweden one of the most eco-friendly countries in the world.


4. Sweden is one of the few countries in the world that gives every person the freedom to roam in nature. You can set up a tent or get permission to cross private land without paying money except private gardens, near a dwelling house, or land under cultivation. You are free to walk, ride, cycle, camp anywhere you want. Swimming in the lakes that doesn't belong to you is also allowed. The people of Sweden respect nature and love nature. The visitors can also enjoy the nature freely. 




5. Sweden is famous for its music. ABBA is one of the famous band of Sweden. If you're fond of music, you may have heard about music written or created by Swedish people. Imagine the great combination of fascinating music and the sound of nature. It's awesome.


6. Sweden has one of the comfortable and coolest public transport systems. Stockholm metro station is one of the greatest examples of perfect combination art, culture, and urbanization. About 90 out of 100 stations have been decorated with beautiful paintings, sculptures, etc. It can be termed as the " world's longest art exhibition. Sweden is a country for artists and designers. 7. And now come to the most incredible and interesting thing about Sweden- THE ICEHOTEL. It is located in Sweden's arctic Lapland region with inner temperature kept at -4 degrees centigrade. 8. Sweden is one of the countries having military power from the 17th century and one of the world's largest producers of weapons and also the first producer of some weapons. But, the greatest fact is that Sweden has not participated in any wars for almost two centuries, not even in world war one and two. A great example of peace for the world. 

9. Nobel prize, the legacy of  Alfred Nobel, is also originated from Sweden since 1901. Alfred Nobel is a Swedish inventor who invented dynamite in 1866. Some of the other things invented by Swedish inventors are - The pacemaker, ultrasound, safety match, astronomical lens, marine propeller, refrigerator, computer mouse, etc. Popular game candy crush is from Sweden.



10. The people of Sweden are honest and disciplined. The financial statuses of the people are almost the same. Almost most of the families are living a luxurious life. Around 80% people of the country is atheist. They are practical and not bound to social pressure. The Swedish girls have the prettiest eyes in the world. The people are healthy, energetic, and good looking. The people like to live in style.


Sweden is one of the countries having polar nights. The best time to visit there in June to July, but if you wanna enjoy the beauty of northern nights, then you should visit between November to march. Midsummer festival is celebrated on 23 rd June every year.
